The Greatest Cookie
in the Cosmos
Fresh Glazed Apple Cookies by Martha P!
Cookie Madness is our quest to find the greatest cookie in the cosmos. Across all of our communities throughout the Midwest, we are hosting a Cookie Madness tournament featuring events such as the Sweet 16 and the Great ATE!
Independence Village and StoryPoint exist to create deep, meaningful connections with seniors, their families and the communities they serve. Through our 35+ years of experience, we have found that food facilitates connections between people.
There will be five events during March and April that will narrow down 64 cookie competitors to the greatest cookie in the cosmos, all made possible by a resident living at Independence Village or StoryPoint.
In this whirlwind round we will host a two-part challenge. We will vote on the two best cookies and then a panel of local celebrities* will determine the champion cookie. The champion cookie will face off against the champions from all other Independence Village and StoryPoint Communities.
*we use the term “celebrity” loosely
In this round, cookies from Independence Village and StoryPoint communities across the Midwest will compete. Recipes will be shipped anonymously to sister communities, baked by their Executive Chef and voted on by local residents, families and guests of the community.
In the final community round, we determine the top 4 cookies from all of our communities. Similar to the Sweet 16, recipes will be shipped anonymously to sister communities, baked by their Executive Chef and voted on by local residents, families and guests of the community.
A first ever for Independence Village & StoryPoint, we will be hosting a live event to bring all of our communities together. Hosted in the gymnasium of Skyline High School in Ann Arbor, MI on April 28th you can expect a day of music, baking demos, voting & of course – cookies. The culmination of the event being the crowning of the best cookie in the cosmos by a celebrity* panel.
All of our residents, families, staff & the public are welcome to attend.
*Blake Griffin, we still have some spots available.
